The backrests can be folded down separately or together.
Levers for releasing the two backrests are fitted in the side trim on both sides of the luggage compartment.
Folding down backrest
Pull the release lever for the appropriate backrest in the direction indicated by the arrow. The backrest will fold forwards automatically when released WARNING!.
Returning backrest to an upright position
Push the backrest up until it engages securely WARNING!.
- When releasing the backrest, please make sure that no persons or animals are in its path. The backrest will fold forwards automatically when released.
- The rear backrest must always be securely latched so that objects stored in the luggage compartment will not fly forward during sudden braking.
Caution!
When returning the backrest to an upright position, make sure that the seat belts for the outer rear seats are in their guides so that they cannot be caught up and damaged in the catches for the backrest.
