Bluetooth must be activated to establish a connection between the on-board phone system and the mobile phone. Discoverability must be activated on your mobile phone Link.
The mobile phone must be bonded to the on-board phone system in the vehicle (only has to be done once). This procedure involves various steps, depending on the mobile phone you are using. First the system searches for Bluetooth devices within range Link.
Bonding Bluetooth devices
No other Bluetooth device may be connected to the on-board phone system during the bonding process. Before bonding a mobile phone, make sure it is not connected to any other Bluetooth device. Watch the display on your mobile phone and follow any instructions.
You can bond several mobile phones to the on-board phone system; however only one connection is active at a time.
The maximum range of the Bluetooth connection is limited to the interior of the vehicle. The connection can be susceptible to interference with other electronic devices.
Establishing and cancelling a Bluetooth connection
A mobile phone which has been bonded to the on-board phone system and is ready to operate will be connected automatically when you switch on the ignition. On some mobile phones you have to confirm the connection.
The Bluetooth connection is terminated when the key is removed from the ignition lock.
Note
