To ensure that the seat belt is positioned properly when using a child seat on the front passenger's seat, move the backrest as far forward as possible and adjust it to fit the child seat. In addition, move the seat to the highest position.
When using a rearward-facing child seat on the front passenger's seat, the front passenger's airbag must be deactivated*.
WARNING!
While the vehicle is moving, children must always be protected with a restraint system which is suited to their height, weight and age.
  • Never install a rearward-facing child safety seat on the front passenger's seat unless the front passenger's airbag has been deactivated - this can result in potentially fatal injuries to the child. If you have no alternative but to let a child travel on the front passenger's seat, the front passenger's airbag must be deactivated* beforehand Link.
  • You should read and observe all safety warnings and instructions for using child safety seats WARNING! and the manufacturer's installation instructions.
