Audi MMI   Communication  Telephone
The mobile phone tray can be fitted onto the mounting unit installed in the vehicle.
When your mobile phone is on the mobile phone tray, call signals are sent and received via the external car aerial. An additional aerial amplifier ensures good transmission quality.
We recommend the use of Audi Genuine Accessories®. Audi has tested these products for suitability, reliability and safety.
WARNING!
Loose objects can be flung around in the passenger compartment in the event of sudden driving or braking manoeuvres. This could result in serious injuries and also cause you to lose control of the vehicle. Always keep the centre armrest closed when driving.
Caution!
  • To avoid damaging the mobile phone tray and the mounting unit, you should only remove the tray when necessary.
  • The mobile phone could be damaged if it is not properly secured on the tray and could fall out when driving.
Note
  • Please refer to the separate operating manual for more information on the mobile phone tray and the available charging adapters.
  • The mobile phone tray is not available in all countries. Your Audi dealer will be able to provide you with more detailed information.
  • To avoid malfunctions, ensure that the mobile phone tray is properly attached to the mounting unit. The mobile phone should ideally be placed centrally on the telephone symbol.
  • If the mobile phone is placed on the mobile phone tray in a bag or a protective case, this may interfere with the connection to the external aerial.
  • A Bluetooth connection between your mobile phone and the on-board phone system is also necessary when you are using the mobile phone tray.
  • USB charging adapters are available from Audi dealers or specialist retailers.
