As soon as the LED on the headphones lights up in red, the batteries are weak and should be charged/changed.
  • To charge the batteries: Plug in the charging cable at connection -1- Fig. 1 on the bottom of the left headphone (L). Then connect the charging cable to the cigarette lighter*/12 Volt socket* in the rear centre console. Or: Charge the rechargeable battery for the wireless headphones via the Audi music interface using the mini USB adapter cable Link.
  • To change the batteries: Turn the cover -2- on the left headphone (L) to the left or right and change the batteries as shown in the diagram in the battery compartment. Then put the cover back on the left headphone (L).
The flash frequency of the LED in the connection -1- for the charging cable indicates the charge status of the battery Link.

WARNING!
  • Never use rechargeable batteries that are damaged - risk of explosion!
  • Take special care when charging the rechargeable batteries as the headphones could become hot - risk of injury!
  • Do not try to charge commercially available non-rechargeable batteries with the charging cable - risk of explosion!
  • Take care when using the cigarette lighter. Carelessness or negligence when using the cigarette lighter can cause burns.
  • The cigarette lighter/electrical socket and any appliances connected to the socket will operate only when the ignition is switched on. Improper use of the cigarette lighter/electrical socket or the connected appliances can cause injuries or fire. To avoid the risk of injury, never leave children unsupervised in the vehicle with the key.
Caution!
  • Do not charge the rechargeable batteries of the wireless headphones when the engine is switched off – this will drain the vehicle battery.
  • Only use batteries that have been approved for the wireless headphones (e.g. batteries that meet the following requirements: type NiMH, minimum capacity of 550 mAh, size AAA and suitable for quick-charging).
For the sake of the environment
Batteries contain toxic substances. They must be disposed of appropriately and must not be discarded with ordinary household waste.
Note
It takes approx. three to four hours to charge the batteries supplied with the headphones; this time may increase by approx. 25% if the headphones are used while the batteries are being charged.
